So, It's been about a week now since I've seen the Suicide Squad, after a year and a halves wait for this movie I must admit it was worth it. I was getting a little nervous that the movie had been getting for the majority of this year that the hype was going to be a build up to throw us down a hole that stole our money and made us bitter, reading other peoples reviews it most certainly did that. I do tend to try and steer clear of reviews until i have had a chance to see the movie myself.
I went in to the movie pretty blind, I only watched the trailers and as previously mentioned i was worried it would be a let down, I was also worried they showed the best bits in the trailers, but they didn't. The story-line was interesting with a few extra side stories thrown in for a little bit of depth, as a reader and a writer I enjoyed how much was going on, it was juicy.
The 'Squad' clicked rather well, and i loved the relationship that Harley and Dead-shot formed throughout as wel as the honesty between the characters, they're bad guys, they knew it, they embraced it.
I would love to comment on the Joker in depth, there are a few reasons i can't.
I am completely bias when it comes to Jared Leto, he's my idol and he could do no wrong in my eyes. So that makes he's joker speriror to any other just on the pure fact that he is Jared Leto.
and also and probably the worse reason is I havent seen any actors perform as the joker, which is probably the main reason why I cant comment on this conversation Leto bias or not, having said that, Jared did a top notch job, as always.
one of my favorite things about this film is honestly Cara Delevingne's acting skills, I mean i know there was a lot of CGI in there but a month ago i though she was just a model but honestly she impressed me quiet a lot in this film, good job to her.
If I had any critisum, it would be to chill with the over advertising, people wanted to see it anyway, a little less showboating in the adverts probably would have made the film just that much better, I mean I love Jared Leto but all the SS talk and promo has overshadowed his other projects that are just as important as this one.
So that's what i thought of Suicide Squad,Was it better then Captain America: Civil war? Leto bias aside, probably not, but it was probably a close second.
What did you think? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear of your experiences.
Thanks for reading!
